3 UFC Asia events are planned out for this year.

The UFC has plenty of events lined up across the globe for 2017, Asia included.

According to MMAFighting.com, the UFC will hold 3 events in Asia this year. Other regions that will host UFC events include the United States (23 events), Canada (3), Latin America (2), Brazil (3), Australia (2), and Europe/Middle East/Africa (5) for a total of 41 events for the year.

Pay-per-view cards, however, will remain largely in the US (11), with 1 in Canada and 1 in Brazil, which have proven to be bankable markets for the company in past years.

The 3 UFC Asia events planned for 2017 would be a stretch compared to 2016, where there were zero fight cards in Asia. The only Asian card slated for last year was UFC Fight Night Manila, which was rescheduled a week before fight night due to an injury suffered by its supposed headliner BJ Penn.

The UFC has had a number of events in Asia before, including ones in the Philippines, South Korea, Japan, Macao, and Singapore.

According to MMAfighting.com, schedules are subject to change throughout the course of the year.
