Artesuave Manila 2016 announces 6 Superfights

Artesuave Manila 2016 has just announced 6 Superfights for their upcoming event happening from October 29-30 at Commerce Center, Alabang.

Like its maiden event last year, this year’s Artesuave competition will feature grappling matches from individual entries and team entries. It will also be capped off by Superfight grappling matches between prominent names within the local BJJ and MMA community.

The Gi Superfights will feature a mix of both MMA and BJJ athletes. First, you have a match between longtime grappling standouts and BJJ brown belters Gian Dee of Atos Philippines and Myron Mangubat of Deftac-Ribeiro. You’ll also see professional URCC fighter Drex Zamboanga take on up-and-comer James Wilson Uy.

Additionally, dominant purple belters Gerard Gallos of Deftac-Ribeiro and Bryan Lim of Atos Philippines will also lock horns in a Gi Superfight. The growing community of female grapplers will also be well represented, as fast-rising competitors and blue belters Jam Cantos of Deftac-Ribeiro and Kaila Napolis of Ronin Jiu-jitsu tussle for the top prize.

The latest Superfights added to the event will be in the No-Gi category. The first will feature two of the country’s top pro MMA fighters: PXC star Gab Dy and former URCC champ Red Romero. The other will feature former URCC champ Andrew Benibe versus KMA’s Oliver Domingo.

You may catch these competitive matches from October 29 to 30 at Commerce Center, Alabang. If you wish to sign up to compete, registration is open until October 23.
