Benson Henderson gets Bellator welterweight title shot

Benson Henderson recently signed with Bellator, and he’s already booked to fight for the promotion’s welterweight title against Andrey Koreshkov.

ESPN.com confirms that the two will tussle for the welterweight title at Belabor 153 inside Mohegan Sun Arena on April 22 in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Andrey Koreshkov (18-1) has 10 career knockouts and is riding a five-fight win streak. His last fight was in July, beating Douglas Lima via unanimous decision to win the title.

Henderson is a former WEC and UFC lightweight champ who picked up two wins at welterweight before making the jump to Bellator.
