Fil-Am Labiano takes a decision loss in Bellator 188

Labiano Bellator 188

Jeremiah “The Kid” Labiano had a rough night in Bellator’s event in Israel.

Filipino-American featherweight Jeremiah Labiano succumbed to his Bellator 188 main event opponent Noad “Neo” Lahat via unanimous decision loss.

Labiano, fighting out of Crispim BJJ, had his moments early in the fight, but the former UFC veteran Lahat kept busy in the clinch. In the second round, Labiano took a knee to the groin but was able to continue. Labiano then went for a takedown but was reversed by Lahat, leading to a kneebar attempt.

As the hometown crowd in Israel rallied behind him, Lahat once again went for the clinch in the third, pressing Labiano to the fence while firing short strikes for most of the round. While these shots created only minor damage, they were enough for “Neo” to win the round and ultimately, a unanimous decision win.

The victory was Lahat’s (12-3) third in four fights since signing with Bellator MMA last year. Labiano (11-6 MMA, 2-2 BMMA) on the other hand, snaps his two-fight win streak.
