Fil-Am Ryan Dela Cruz claims Destiny MMA’s 145-belt in a hard fought match.

Filipino-American featherweight Ryan dela Cruz has won Destiny MMA’s interim title in Hawaii last weekend.

The 32-year old from Hawaii Elite MMA outlasted Zach Zane to win fight by split-decision. The one-time URCC featherweight title challenger managed to pick up the win despite suffering an injury during the fight.

“Wanna thank my coaches, teammates, sponsors, my family and friends that’s always there supporting me. I appreciate u [sic] all.” Dela Cruz thanked his supporters in an Instagram post following his victory.

With the win, he snaps his two-fight skid and improves his record to 5-3.
