Fritz Biagtan wants a shot in the UFC’s flyweight mix

Undefeated Filipino MMA champion Fritz Biagtan says he’s ready for MMA’s biggest stage.

In a Facebook post, the current URCC strawweight king said he received a call from the UFC to compete in the Octagon. However, the conversation was put on hold since the promotion has no 115-pound division for male fighters.

The 22-year-old Biagtan, fresh from a successful title defense last August, quickly revealed he is willing to move up to flyweight and make his “ultimate” dream of becoming a UFC fighter into a reality.

“I am ready for 125 Lbs [sic]! Give me my Ultimate dream! You can expect a very exciting fight from me! I wanna showcase and apply those extra ordinary strategies that I’ve got!,” continued Biagtan in his post.

Currently, the three active Filipino fighters in the UFC are Rolando Dy, CJ de Tomas and Jenel Lausa. While the talks of “Kid Tornado” competing in the UFC are still in the works, rumors are circulating that another Filipino fighter is expected to compete in UFC Fight Night Sydney next week.

The Malaysian-based Biagtan is undefeated in four fights. He is coming off a TKO win of Solomon Dultra and successfully defended his title at URCC 30. He is also the youngest MMA fighter from Philippines to win an international title winning the Singapore FC flyweight belt in Singapore two years ago.
