Jenel Lausa all set for UFC 210 against top Russian prospect

UFC 210 Jenel Lausa

At UFC 210, Jenel Lausa gets an opportunity to climb the flyweight rankings with a win over top Russian prospect.

Filipino flyweight Jenel Lausa knows that he has to be ready for everything now that he’s fighting in MMA’s biggest stage. As he gears up for his toughest challenge to date, no stone is left unturned.

Four months after his successful Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night: Melbourne, the 28-year old Lausa gets a huge step-up in competition. “The Demolition Man” will be up against highly-touted Magomed Bibulatov in UFC 210 this April. He sees the fight both as test and an opportunity to barge into the rankings.

Unlike Yao Zhikui, Lausa’s recent opponent, Bibulatov boasts an impressive wrestling pedigree with speed and power to complement it. That made “The Gladiator” undefeated in all his thirteen fights. He’s also regarded as one of the top 125-pound fighters in the world. He’s seen by many as a threat to longtime champ Demetrious Johnson.

Although unfazed with his upcoming challenge, Lausa knows that striking alone wouldn’t be enough for him to win. He said he’s worked on his game tirelessly both on the feet and ground. An impressive win would earn Lausa a spot in the UFC’s flyweight rankings.

For Lausa, a victory is his way of showing gratitude to the people that inspired him in competing. He’s motivated to give his best every single time he steps inside the cage and to continue what his forerunners have started inside the Octagon.
