What to expect at the first UFC GYM Philippines

UFC GYM Philippines

Here’s your first look at what’s to come in the new UFC GYM Philippines.

It was recently announced that UFC GYM would be putting up 30 branches in the country within the next 10 years starting this 2017. If you don’t know what’s in store for you at this gym, then here’s your first look.

5 branches to open at the same time

UFC GYM will be opening five branches simultaneously in mid-2017:

  • Glorietta
  • Robinson’s Galleria
  • Trinoma Vertis North
  • Alabang
  • UP Town Center

And according to Michael Tiu, a member of the UFC GYM marketing team, a gym membership at one branch will get you access to all branches.

“Our ‘Ultimate’ membership allows clients to visit any of our current or future UFC GYM locations so they have a premium fitness option no matter where they are in the city,” he says.

Each UFC GYM will have weights and cardio equipment and a dedicated turf area (along with all the toys you’d expect) for functional fitness. There will also be a mat area for simultaneous BJJ, MMA, and Wrestling classes, and a dedicated heavy bag area for group striking classes. Smack in the middle of the gym you’ll find the UFC Octagon, which members can train in.

Unlimited martial arts classes

“Every membership comes with unlimited access to all of our cardio and technical classes, as well as unlimited use of all UFC GYM equipment,” adds Tiu. Their technical classes include Brazilian Jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, boxing, and wrestling.

Additionally, the gym will offer its own MMA-based conditioning programs like Fight Fit, which incorporates actual MMA movements, and Daily Ultimate Training, a form of circuit training that aims to develop functional strength.

Training for kids

UFC GYM also aims to provide martial arts classes for kids and practitioners of all ages. “Contrary what a lot of people might think, the UFC GYM is not a fight gym,” says Tiu. “It’s a place where anyone, at any age, can train to be better versions of themselves and have the time of their lives doing it.”

When it comes to membership prices, gym officials have yet to make any final announcements.

Tiu, who got his coaching certification from UFC GYM in the US following the completion of their program, encourages people to reach him via michaeltiu90@gmail.com for membership questions or job opportunities.

If you wish to avail of a UFC GYM Philippines membership at 50% off, then fill in this form and a gym representative will get in touch with you to process your membership.
