Finally, Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino will fight in the UFC.

The Brazilian featherweight has long been regarded as one of the best female fighters on the planet. She hasn’t tasted defeat in MMA since 2005 and 13 of her 15 pro MMA wins have come via TKO/KO. Why hasn’t she fought in the UFC? Simple: She fights at 145lbs and the UFC only has theĀ 115lbs and 135lbs divisions for women.

Justino has won the Strikeforce featherweight title and is currently the Invicta featherweight champ, and she’s been dominant through and through. Now, she has the chance to test her skills against the best in the world under the UFC banner. Her first challenge: taking on Leslie Smith at UFC 198 in Curitiba, Brazil.cris cyborg leslie smith

This fight will be contested at a catchweight of 140lbs.

Smith (8-6) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Rin Nakai at UFC Brisbane. Taking on the much larger “Cyborg” will be a tall order, but Smith’s size (she’s 5’9″ while Justino is 5’8″) will surely work to her advantage against the Invicta champ.

How do you think this fight will go?
