Two vacant PXC titles are on the line, but one fighter is ineligible to win a title.
Former UFC fighter Darren Uyenoyama failed to make the flyweight championship limit during the PXC 55 weigh-ins. Uyenoyama stepped on the scale at 127.9 pounds. According to him, he declined to shed the extra weight because he felt sick. Rilley Dutro, his opponent, has the sole opportunity to win the title vacated by current UFC fighter Jenel Lausa.
Josh Alvarez also failed to make the cut. He came in at 129 pounds, which is four pounds over the 125-pound limit for his scheduled bout against Go Minamide.
The bantamweight title bout had no problems as Kyle Aguon and Trevin Jones made the 135-pound limit. Aguon stepped on the scales at 134.7 pounds. Jones initially weighed in at 136.4 pounds before making the cut after the mandated 2-hour extension.
Returning Team Lakay fighter Stephen Loman also made weight for his fight against Fil-Kiwi Mark Abelardo.
