Rolando Dy UFC Shanghai

Rolando Dy’s retirement will have to wait as he returns to the Octagon for UFC Shanghai.

Two weeks ago, Pinoy featherweight Rolando Dy announced his retirement from MMA after being released by the promotion. Fortunately for him, the UFC has other plans.

Filipino featherweight Dy (8-6 MMA, 0-2 UFC) unretires to make his third UFC appearance at UFC Shanghai this month. Dy himself and his manager, James Joy Dy confirmed the news to Dojo Drifter.

The UFC has yet to announce the matchup.

Following his back-to-back defeats against Alex Caceres and Teruto Ishihara, “Dy Incredible” will try to earn his first UFC win as he takes on the debuting Wuliji Buren (10-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) on short notice.

A veteran of the Chinese fight scene, Buren is on a three-fight win streak, all of which ended via stoppage. He looks to make an impressive UFC debut in the promotion’s first foray in mainland China.

Middleweights Anderson Silva and Kelvin Gastellum will headline the said card happening at the Mercedes-Benz Arena this November 25, 2017.
