The UFC 205 in NYC card is looking stacked and has added 2 bouts featuring top female fighters.

First of all, the UFC has announced that former champ Meisha Tate will be returning to the Octagon in the promotion’s first New York event after losing her belt to Amanda Nunes at UFC 200. She’ll be taking on Raquel Pennington, who currently rides a 3-fight win streak.

Pennington last fought in August, beating Elizabeth Phillips via decision. That fight came off the heels of a big win over former title-challenger Bethe Correia.

Another massive fight added to the card is Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Karolina Kowalkiewicz for the women’s strawweight belt.

This Poland vs. Poland match-up features one of the rare times that two undefeated fighters are vying for the title.

Jedrzejczyk is currently 12-0 and coming off her 3rd consecutive title defense, beating nemesis Claudia Gadelha at the TUF 23 Finale in July.

Kowalkiewicz (10-0), meanwhile, is coming off big wins in Rotterdam and Atlanta over Heather Jo Clark and Rose Namajunas, respectively, solidifying her shot at the belt.

This will be the second title fight on the card; welterweight champ Tyron Woodley will also be defending his belt against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

UFC 205 in NYC already has big fights like Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero, Rashad Evans vs. Tim Kennedy, Kelvin Gasetlum vs. Donald Cerrone, and Jeremy Stephens vs. Frankie Edgar.
