UFC Fight Night Japan weigh-in results: Pinoy fighters Gabriel Dy, Syuri Kondo make weight

All eyes are now set on Saitama Super Arena for UFC Fight Night Japan after weigh-ins are complete.

UFC Fight Night Japan’s marquee fighters Ovince Saint Preux and Yushin Okami had no problems on the scales yesterday. “OSP” weighed in at 206 pounds while the returning Japanese Okami came in at a pound and a half below the light heavyweight limit at 203.5 pounds.

The Brazilian ladies in the co-main event made weight as well. Claudia Gadelha and Jessica Andrade tipped the scales at 115 and 116 pounds, respectively, for their strawweight bout.

Filipino featherweight Rolando Gabriel Dy was among the first fighters to hit the mark at 145 pounds even. His opponent, Teruto Ishihara, also registered the same result. Meanwhile, the debuting Fil-Japanese Syuri Kondo stepped on the scales at 116 pounds fight with Chan-Mi Jeon, who came in at 116 pounds.

Mizuto Hirota was the last to step on the scales as he struggled to make weight. He checked in four pounds over and almost fell off the scales. He will forfeit thirty percent of his salary to his opponent, Charles Rosa, came in at 145.5 pounds.
