Chan Sung Jung returns to the UFC in true “Korean Zombie” fashion.

Jung entered the Octagon at UFC Houston for the first time in over 3 years and came out victorious in the main event, knocking out number 9-ranked featherweight Dennis Bermudez in the very first round.

The former UFC title challenger was returning to the cage after his mandatory stint in the South Korean military. And he made sure to return with a bang by putting up a signature “Korean Zombie” performance. He survived Bermudez’s early onslaught before dropping “The Menace” with a well-timed uppercut to finish the fight at the 2:49 mark of round number 1.

The victory puts The Korean Zombie (14-4) back in the win column since yielding to then-featherweight champ Jose Aldo in 2013. Bermudez, on the other hand, ends his two-fight win streak and drops to 17-6.

In the co-main event, Felice Herrig came out on top once again, this time defeating rising prospect Alexa Grasso via unanimous decision.
