Yang Xiao Nan of China was surprised to see a lot of her fellowmen show up and support her fight at URCC 26: Domination held at the Fontana Convention Center last July 25, 2015.

The 26-year old female flyweight paid their support with a strong URCC debut performance, needing only 3 minutes to dismantle her opponent, Dolores Meek from the Catalan Fighting Systems, via first-round TKO.

“I am surprised that there are a lot of Chinese people here,” Yang said in an interview after the fight. “I’m very excited when I heard a lot of Chinese who are cheering for me.”

According to Bill Eng, Yang’s manager, the Xian Sports University alumnae is a very dedicated fighter that has trained in various gyms in China. This is part of her preparation to further expand her MMA knowledge which was on full display that night.

“Yang Xiao Nan takes her training very seriously and she tries to take part in many competitions as much as possible. She goes to different clubs to train and expand her experience and learning,” said Eng about the promising women’s MMA fighter.

Yang also expressed her desire to fight again in the country soon.

“I like this place very much, it’s a very good event. I’ll come back and fight again. Just give me a date.”
